Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 August 2026.

1. Who we are

ProResells Academy (“ProResells”, “we”, “us”) sells an online reselling course and an optional paid membership community. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

You can reach us about anything in this policy at privacy@proresells.com.

2. What data we collect

  • Account data — your name and email address, provided at checkout, used to create and identify your account.
  • Purchase and payment data — the plan you bought, purchase date, and billing details. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor (Stripe); we never see or store full card numbers. We store only the processor's transaction reference, the last four digits, and the amount.
  • Membership data — whether your membership is active or cancelled, and the date of any change.
  • Content you submit — messages, results, screenshots or questions you post in the members area or community.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type and pages viewed, collected only where strictly necessary to run and secure the site, or with your consent for analytics.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To provide the course, members area and community you paid for — performance of a contract.
  • To take payment and prevent fraud — performance of a contract and our legitimate interests.
  • To send service emails (receipts, access details, important changes) — performance of a contract.
  • To send marketing emails about ProResells — your consent, withdrawable at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email.
  • To measure how the site is used through non-essential analytics or tracking cookies — your consent, given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time.
  • To comply with tax, accounting and consumer-law obligations — legal obligation.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the business: our payment processor (Stripe), our email provider, our hosting provider, and the community platform (Telegram) if you choose to join it. Each acts under contract and may only process data on our instructions. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA/UK, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. How long we keep it

  • Account and course-access data — for as long as your account exists, then 12 months after you ask us to delete it or after your last login, whichever is sooner.
  • Payment and invoice records — 7 years (10 in some jurisdictions), because tax and accounting law requires it. This is the one category we cannot delete on request.
  • Marketing consent records — 3 years after you unsubscribe, as proof that consent was given and withdrawn.
  • Support emails — 24 months from the last message in the thread.
  • Analytics data — 14 months, and only if you consented to analytics cookies.

6. Your rights

Under the UK and EU GDPR you can ask us to: give you a copy of your data; correct anything inaccurate; delete your data; restrict or object to how we use it; port your data to another provider; and withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@proresells.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days. Deletion removes your account, course access and community membership; legally required financial records are retained as described above. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to your national data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

7. Cookies

We set essential cookies needed to keep you logged in and to remember your cookie choice. Non-essential analytics or tracking cookies only load after you accept them in the banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

8. Security and changes

We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable processors to protect your data. No system is perfect; if a breach affects your rights we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.

We may update this policy. The current version is always shown here with its date. Last updated: 29 August 2026.
